A huge congratulations to the Marist College rugby teams and coaches who were awarded ‘School of the Year’ at the Connacht Rugby Awards last weekend. The Marist rugby teams had great success in the League and Cup, winning both at Junior and Senior level in the 2024-2025 season. This award recognises the hard work and determination shown by our coaches and students throughout the year.
Congratulations also to 5th Year student, Andrew Henson. Andrew was awarded U18 Men’s Player of the Year at the Connacht Rugby Awards. Andrew excelled in his rugby playing this year and played a huge role in Marist College’s success in Connacht this season. Andrew also represented Ireland, playing for both U18 Club and Schools teams. While representing the Ireland Schools team, Andrew was selected on the Six Nations team of the tournament. A fantastic achievement, well done Andrew.
